The 10 Commandments
Before the Israelites moved into the special land GOD promised them, GOD called Moses up to a mountain.
For 40 days and 40 nights, GOD taught Moses His laws. Then GOD gave Moses two stone tablets with the Ten Commandments written on them.
The Ten Commandments are 10 special rules from GOD that teach us how to love GOD, love others, and make good choices.
GOD gave us these commandments because HE loves us and wants what is best for us. When we obey GOD, we make HIM happy, and His ways help us live a life filled with love, peace, and joy!
